Taiwan AI Cloud has deployed its Pharmaceutical AI Agent on the ASRock Industrial AI BOX-A395, creating a fully on-premises AI platform for medication safety applications.
Integrated with the AFS AI Hub and the solution uses OCR and multimodal AI to analyze prescription information and execute 28 medication safety checks, covering drug interactions, dosage appropriateness, contraindications, duplicate medications, and other clinical safety factors.
Before recommendations are generated, healthcare professionals can review the information extracted from prescriptions. The AI Agent then combines the analyzed prescription data with trusted medication references to generate reliable and traceable medication safety insights. In an evaluation of 30 physician- and pharmacist-designed clinical scenarios, the Pharmaceutical AI Agent achieved 92.4% Answer Correctness and 90% Faithfulness, demonstrating the accuracy and reference-grounded nature of its recommendations. In a field evaluation involving 11 physicians and pharmacists across healthcare settings of varying sizes, the solution achieved an overall satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5, highlighting its strong real-world usability.
